Finish 2019 Strong, Start 2020 Even Stronger

If you’re an agent, don’t take the holiday season off—take advantage of it!

As an agent, I have an important tip to share with you as we prepare for the new year.

The holiday season is a time when a lot of agents take a mental break. From Thanksgiving through New Year’s Day, they assume nothing happens so they might as well close up shop. Well, if you actually take advantage of this time, you can benefit greatly.

Why? As I said, many agents take this time of year off, so you’ll compete against fewer of them, and there are still buyers and sellers out there. There is more than one reason to buy or sell a home, and many people need to do so during the holidays.

Also, spring is supposedly the hottest market, but those who are planning to list their home at that time are thinking about who they should hire right now. It’s only natural that they’ll gravitate toward agents who are active during this time of year.

People who are planning to list their home at that time are thinking about who they should hire right now.

If you’re taking time off from Christmas to New Year’s Day, by all means enjoy that time. In the time you are working, though, keep your name out there. Keep talking to past clients, expired listings, FSBOs, etc. because this will not only generate more business before the end of the year, but it will also help you start 2020 on a much stronger note.

If you’d like to talk more about how to get ahead in your career or you have any other questions for me, give me a call or send me an email. I’d love to speak with you.
